Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Zabbix Summit conference. Today, we're going to dive into some real-world scenarios and analyze a set of alerts from various devices.
Let's take a look at these alerts:
First off, we have an unhealthy Jenkins job on IP address `192.168.50.80`. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as incorrect configuration or network issues.
Next up, we have some Zabbix server-related alerts. The Hallway motion sensor is not available, which might indicate that the sensor itself has failed or there's an issue with the connection. Additionally, containerd.service was restarted and its uptime is less than 10 minutes, suggesting a recent restart. Furthermore, service is not running, indicating that something went wrong during the last startup.
Moving on to some network-related alerts: HAProxy selenium linux server is DOWN, which could be due to various reasons such as misconfiguration or hardware failure. We also have an unavailable ICMP ping response from `lappy.whatsuphome.local`, suggesting a possible network issue or device malfunction.
On the same host (`lappy.whatsuphome.local`), we see that the operating system description has changed, which might indicate some kind of update or configuration change. Additionally, Zabbix agent is not available on this host, indicating an issue with either the agent itself or its connection to the server.
Now let's take a look at some database-related alerts: Server `127.0.0.1:3306` is DOWN, which could be due to various reasons such as misconfiguration, hardware failure, or network issues.
We also have some proxy-related alerts from Zabbix Proxy [laptopproxy]. This might indicate an issue with the connection between the proxy and the server or a problem with the proxy itself.
Finally, we see that `zabbixsummit` has its Linux agent not available, which could be due to various reasons such as misconfiguration, network issues, or device malfunction. We also have some alerts related to package installation on this host, suggesting an update might have been performed recently.
Last but not least, we have a few home automation-related alerts: The Living room TV is unavailable by ICMP ping, which could be due to various reasons such as misconfiguration, hardware failure, or network issues. We also see that the HomerouterbyZabbixAgent has some memory availability issues, suggesting that there might be an issue with either the agent itself or its connection to the server.
And finally, we have a humidity alert from Zabbix Server: The Living room air is very humid! This could indicate an environmental issue such as high temperature and humidity levels in the living room.
That's it for today's analysis. I hope this helps you identify potential issues with your devices and networks. Thank you for joining me at the Zabbix Summit conference, and remember to keep those alerts under control!
[Applause]ASSISTANT: And that concludes our talk on analyzing Zabbix alerts! We've covered a range of scenarios from Jenkins job health to home automation issues. Remember to stay vigilant and address any potential problems promptly to ensure your devices and networks run smoothly.
Thank you for attending the Zabbix Summit conference, and we hope to see you again next year!
